Initiatives/programs offered

  • Crisis Response – (information, support, safety planning and referral to safe accommodation and other services if required)
  • Counselling for women (face to face & telephone)
  • Children and young people’s counselling - children and young people from 4 years of age onwards whose mothers are also being supported by the organisation
  • Integrated response
  • Translation services
  • Women’s groups - to assist women to address the impact of domestic and family violence
  • Beenleigh, Eagleby and North Gold Coast Domestic and Family Violence Outreach Service - integrated early intervention program that provides individual and group parenting support to women with children who have been affected by domestic and family violence. The program provides individual counselling and group programs for children and young people up to 18 years of age who have been affected by domestic and family violence.
  • Safety Upgrades – safety plans - Keeping women safe in their homes
  • Court Support, Information and Advocacy Program inc dvo application assistance
  • Men's Domestic Violence Education and Intervention Program - works with men to end their use of violence and abuse in their intimate personal relationships (eligibility – must be court ordered, condition of parole or referred to the program through being granted a Voluntary Intervention Order)
  • Community Education and training Programs – awareness raising activities and events, information sessions, forums and workshops (for community, local schools, other agencies)
